President Bashar Assad on Wednesday stressed that cooperation among countries of the region is key to confronting the extremism and terrorism that have plagued the region.
President Assad's comments came during his meeting on Wednesday with the Chairman of the Foreign Policy and National Security Committee at the Iranian Shura Council, Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
Assad confirmed the importance of coordination between these countries' parliaments to unify positions against Wahhabi thought that poses the gravest threat to the peoples of the countries and the World.
