Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Hammam al-Jazairi, discussed with the Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Damascus, Babur Dernbek, the prospects of developing cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic and investment fields.
Jazairi pointed to the importance of coordination to revive relations between the two countries through trade and investments. Jazairi stressed Syria's desire to officially join the Eurasian Customs Union (ECU), which Kazakhstan founded in cooperation with a number of post-Soviet states to improve the flow of goods and investments between member countries.
The Consul revealed the genuine desire among Kazakh businessmen to access economic development and investment opportunities inside Syria.
