The Syrian Interim Government’s head diplomat Dr. Hosam Hafez resigned with two staff on Saturday, sources told Zaman al-Wasl.
The National Coalition government has witnessed a spate of resignations over the past few months due to a lack of funding.
The source claimed Dr. Hafez resigned at the request of Interim Prime Minister Ahmed Tomeh.
Toumeh is believed to have refused to renew contracts for 200 of the government’s employees.
