The Ahrar al-Sham rebel group in the eastern Ghouta district of Damascus has agreed to abide by the decision of a unified judiciary to deliver its fighters' weapons to Failaq al-Rahman, according to Zaman al-Wasl sources.
The step comes as the group tries to avoid conflict among rebel groups operating in the embattled suburbs of Syrian capital, the source said.
The judiciary issued the decision after the Failaq al-Rahman rebel group pledged allegiance to Ahrar al-Sham, the region’s key Islamist group.
