Rebel Car Bomb Rocks ISIS Checkpoint North of Aleppo

Armed opposition factions in the northern province of Aleppo carried out a car bombing against the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) Sunday, leaving dozens and wounded, according to a rebel commander.

General-Secretary of Jabhat al-Asala and al-Tanmiya (Authenticity and Development Front) Khaled al-Hammad said a suicide bomber from his group had detonated a car bomb near an ISIS checkpoint in Harbel in the northern countryside of the war-torn province.

Hamad said most casualties were ISIS fighters and no civilians have yet been reported to be killed.
