A terrorist mortar attack on Wednesday struck al-Wafideen Camp neighborhood, north of Damascus, killing one and injuring several others.
A source at the Police Command told SANA that two mortar shells fired by terrorists from the Army of Islam smashed into the building of the Military Housing Establishment in the neighborhood.
The source confirmed the attack left one person dead and nine others injured, adding that two other mortar shells fell in the 14 district in al-Wafideen Camp, injuring four citizens, three of them women, who were rushed to al-Qtaifeh National Hospital for treatment.
In Aleppo city, terrorists targeted the Ashrafieh neighborhood with rockets, killing five civilians and injuring 20 others.
According to a local source, the attack claimed the lives of five civilians, including a young girl, noting that the number of casualties is likely to rise due to the critical condition of some victims.
The attack also caused damage to a number of cars, buildings and shops, the source added, explaining that the rockets were fired from the Bani Zeid neighborhood where hundreds of members of terrorist organizations are holed up, mostly from the Nusra Front-affiliated Shohada’a Badr Brigade.
