Loyalist shabeeha militias on Tuesday killed two students at the Baath University in the city of Homs, their only fault being that they were from rebellious districts of the city.
Osama Abu Zaid, head of the Homs Media Center, told Orient Net that Marwa Nadal al-Atassi (20), a student in the law school, and Maysa Dendashi (20), a student in the civil engineering college at the Baath University, were murdered in a shooting carried out by shabeeha militiamen loyal to the Assad regime while in the university grounds.
Abu Zaid reported that the two victims had refused to travel out of the city and join their relatives in Turkey and Lebanon so that they could complete their studies, despite being subjected to numerous threats from the committees of the administrative authority in the university.
