At least 14 militants from the loyalist Baath Brigades militia have been killed by rebels in central Hama over the past two days, pro-regime news feeds said, amid an advance by rebels who have retaken a number of areas in the central province.
The volunteer paramilitary group, which is mainly comprised of university students and employees and members of the ruling Baath Party, has suffered numerous defeats due to a lack of training and fighting experience.
