A well-informed source with ties to the Syrian National Coalition claims recent reports of interim government prime minister Ahmed Tomeh's dismissal are 'unfounded'.
The source said news of Tomeh’s sacking is incorrect, adding the president of the Coalition has no right to dismiss the prime minister under the Rules of Procedure, which is subject to a majority vote from the General Coalition Authority's decision.
Such an event did not take place, the source said.
Opposition media and activists claim National Coaliton President Khaled Khoja appointed Nader Othman in Tomeh’s place.
