Key rebel groups of Aleppo province are massing efforts to unite under one military command, as the fall of the city to regime forces seems imminent, field sources reported.
A rebel commander told Zaman al-Wasl that a unified command is the only solution to surpass all challenges, whether on the battleground or in managing civilian issues in rebel-held areas. For that, rebel senior commanders have held a series of meetings, the source said.
"Conflict of interest is considered the rebels’ weakness point, as rebel areas turned to be cantons affiliates to this leader or that," the source said.
Meanwhile, Bashar al-Assad’s forces contrinue to press very hard to invade Aleppo’s rebel-held suburbs.
