The Islamic State (ISIS) has executed 1,809 Syrian civilians, including 76 children and 93 women, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
Over the past 13 months, victims were shot, slaughtered, stoned, thrown from high places and burnt in the provinces of Damascus, Deir-ez-Zor, Raqqa, Hassakeh, Aleppo, Homs and Hama.
ISIS carried out massacres in the provinces of Deir-ez-Zor, Aleppo and Hama, claiming the lives of more than 930 Arab citizens and 223 Kurds, the monitoring group reported.
The Observatory added that ISIS executed 38 people in Syria in the period between the June 29 and July 29 2015.
The number of opposition fighters executed by ISIS reached 225, with the group also executing 143 of its own fighters, mostly on charges of "extremism and spying for foreign countries", after trying to return to their countries of origin.
The observatory said that about 888 regime officers, soldiers and militants had also been executed after being captured by ISIS forces.
