Homs Governor Talal Barazi has confirmed that the governorate is working to ensure the evacuation of the citizens besieged in Homs Old City and the delivery of food packages to the people in need in all regions.
The governor, meeting a delegation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), headed by Volker Turk, said that the city has offered all facilities and support for the civilians who were evacuated from the Old City and continues to make settlements to help all the evacuated men return to normal life.
He said the governorate aspires for continue working within this framework in other regions in Homs to settle the status of anyone who has the desire to return to the homeland's lap.
For his part, Turk said he appreciated the Syrian government's efforts to complete the evacuation process from the Old City, and confirmed that the humanitarian work and aid delivery will be resumed in cooperation of the Syrian government.
