To celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Syrian army, Chief of Staff Ali Abdullah Ayoub on Tuesday visited soldiers stationed in the Suwieda and Quneitra countrysides.

Ayoub met with field commanders and soldiers to applaud their sacrifices to defend the homeland on behalf of President Bashar al-Assad.

While on a visit to an air base in Suweida, the general spoke with a commander about the nature of missions being conducted from the facility. He also met with pilots and technicians, praising their courage and heroism in the fight against terrorist organizations.

Ayoub also visited army units in the Quneitra countryside where he was briefed by field commanders on their combatant operations, voicing appreciation for their success in confronting terrorists.

He highlighted the need for readiness and awareness in order to defend the homeland, hailing the victories achieved by the army and the determination it has shown on the battlefield.
