Ministry of Social Affairs to Cement Cooperation with Special Envoy for Syria

Syria said it was stepping up efforts with the civil society to reach the most vulnerable, according to SANA.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Mohamed Seif al-Din, held a meeting Wednesday with Mona Rishmawi, the Head of the Office of UN Special Envoy for Syria in Damascus, to discuss means of cooperation with NGOs and UN organizations.

The two sides shared views on various issues related to laws and legislation, with the aim of increasing the number of NGO beneficiaries.

Seif al-Din affirmed that the ministry is stepping up efforts with the civil society to reach the most vulnerable, those affected by the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people.

Rishmawi, for her part, attached great importance to the mutual coordination between the Ministry and the Envoy’s office in Damascus to empower and support these groups, providing them best services.
