Rockets Hit U.S. Coalition Base in Syria’s Deir-ez-Zor

The attack resulted in no injuries or damage to the base or Coalition property, North Press reported.

On Wednesday, two rockets hit a U.S.-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS military base in Deir-ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

In a news release, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said two rockets targeted the Coalition forces at Conoco Gas Field, north of Deir-ez-Zor.

The attack resulted in no injuries or damage to the base or Coalition property, the CENTCOM added.

The CENTCOM, founded in 1983, aims to continue to develop and enable the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to defeat ISIS and requests the nations repatriate their citizens of ISIS families from Hawl and Roj camps in NE Syria.

It pointed out that the SDF visited the rocket origin site and found “a third unfired rocket.”

“Attacks of this kind place coalition forces and the civilian populace at risk and undermine the hard-earned stability and security of Syria and the region,” said Col. Joe Buccino, CENTCOM spokesman.
