President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem al-Meslet, stressed on Friday the importance of the visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in solving regional issues, especially in Syria.
Meslet stressed the pivotal role of the Republic of Turkey and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in shaping the region’s policies and trends, adding that opening a new chapter between the two countries will reflect positively on regional security and stability.
Meslet pointed to the need to confront Iran’s malicious, sectarian schemes in the region and deter its militias which are committing the most heinous crimes against the people of Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen.
Meslet added that the SOC counts on the good relations between Riyadh and Ankara to support the cause of the Syrian people and their rightful demands for freedom, dignity and salvation from the tyrannical Assad regime.
