Fire Erupted in al-Buzurieh Souq in Damascus  

On Sunday evening, the Damascus Firefighting Brigade managed to extinguish a fire that erupted in a warehouse for candy and related raw materials in the Buzurieh Souq “ancient market” in Damascus.

The commander of the firefighting brigade in the al-Amin area in Damascus, Brigadier General Ammar al-Jasem, in a statement to SANA, said that the fire has been contained as it hasn’t reached the neighboring shops.

Jasem added that the reason behind the eruption of the fire is not yet known, and it caused only material damage and no human causalities were reported.
