Local sources in the city of Atareb, in the countryside of Aleppo, have told Zaman al-Wasl that masked men kidnapped activists Samar Saleh and Muhammad al-Omar from a residential area near the city center.
According to the source, the masked men pulled Saleh by her hair to a waiting car. Omar was led to the same car quietly.
Activists in the city say Saleh has been targeted by the local battalions administering the city due to her non-Islamic dress, makeup and forcefulness.
Activists suspect the Islamic State of Iraq and Syira were behind the kidnap.
