Regime Deploys Troops in Mosque for Media Center

The Syrian regime has partially evacuated a radio and television building, seizing equipment and devices for a possible united state broadcast at a later date.

Regime forces also conducted raids near the Saad bin Maaz mosque, moving media equipment and broadcast vehicles around and inside the mosque complex.

Sources said broadcast equipment was placed in the Mosque for the Nour al-Sham television channel.

Simultaneously, regime troops conducted raids on other Damascus mosques, some of which are housing refugees.

Meanwhile, heavy security was deployed across the suburb of Mazzeh, and witnesses reported a heavy security presence in and around the Ali ibn bil Talib mosque.

Heavy security was also deployed in the vicinity of the Akram Mosque, after military checkpoints in the area were reinforced. The area includes many homes of senior military officials, including Major General Ali Mamlouk.

Regime's forces have also transformed the obstetrics hospital in Baramka in to a security headquarters, amid a heavy security presence in the Barameka and Halbouni neighborhoods.
