Army units eliminated at least 40 terrorists in operations around the town of Maaloula and Sarkha in Damascus countryside on Monday.
Another army unit prevented terrorists from detonating explosive devices planted in Uruba Street on the Deir Attaya-Nabek road that were rigged for remote detonation.
A number of terrorists including snipers were eliminated in the Jobar area, and members of a terrorist group including a sniper were also eliminated in the Harasta area.
