How Fighting Between ISIS, FSA in Azaz Erupted

Source says fighting erupted when ISIS fighters tried to seize a German doctor

Ahmed Ghazali, a field leader from the Northern Storm Brigade  has revealed the main reasons behind a battle in Azaz, on the northern Turkish border, between militants with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) and Free Syrian Army brigades.

According to Ghazali, fighting reupted when a German doctor from Doctors Without Borders (MSF) visited Azaz hospital to evaluate conditions. Patients in the hospital are from both ISIS and the FSA.

An ISIS reportedly invaded the hospital and demanded FSA guards bring the German doctor outside. When the latter refused, ISIS started shooting, killing two fighters from the Northern Storm brigade.

Clashes escalated, with fighting spreading outside the hospital and to most areas in Azaz.

Ghazali said that the brigade besieged ISIS groups during Wednesday afternoon and they were able to kill many, but they preferred not to do so.
