Assad Forces Besiege Damascus Suburb Over Officer Killing

There is a severe humanitarian crisis in the town

A severe governent siege was imposed on the town of Qudssaya, near Damascus, in response to the killing of an army officer by rebels, who targeted his checkpoint, according to sources.


A humanitarian crisis in the town has left 400,000 people in fear for their lives due to a shortage of food and medical supplies.


Unless they hand over the person responsible for the killing, Qudsaya’s people will be subjected to starvation, malnutrition, bombardment and death.
