Relief Assistance Allocated to Martyrs’ Families in Tartous

Minister of Social Affairs Kinda al-Shammat has called on concerned civil society associations to distribute humanitarian assistance according to a plan set by the Tartous subcommittee for the Higher Committee for Relief.

During a meeting with subcommittee members, the minister demanded the allocation of 50% of the associations’ development projects to rural areas.

She noted that the ministry would obligate the local associations working in the relief domain to allocate a permanent 10% share of aid to the families of martyrs and injured personnel from the Syrian Arab Army.

Tartous Governor Safwan Abu Saadi announced that the relief subcommittee has established a department with five sections; one of which is charged with organizations and civil associations affairs.
