Firas Al-Naji Murdered in Yarmouk Camp

Unknown group executes activist following a series of unresolved killings in the Palestinian refugee camp

Prominent relief worker, Firas al-Naji, was killed by an unknown militant group in the embattled Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus on Monday, activists said.

Naji was assassinated in his house by a bullet to the head, with no further information given as to the reasons that led the unarmed activist to pay for his life in such a savage way, activists said.

Monday’s crime followed a series of killings of Palestinian activists in the blockaded camp, where seven activists have been killed since the middle of 2014. The killings are yet to be resolved.
