The Turkish General Staff issued a statement confirming Turkish artillery has targeted regime army locations, after a missile launched by the Syrian army fell in Reyhanlı region in Hatay province.


The statement, published by the General Staff’s website, explained that Turkish artillery stationed in Yayla Daghi area, south of Hatay, bombed regime forces artillery locations, according to the rules of engagement.


The statement stressed that the Turkish General Staff is following the developments in the area closely, and will respond to any aggression that targets Turkish territory.


The missile, launched by President Assad's regime forces, targeted opposition-held locations, landing in a deserted area in the vicinity of Cüdeyde neighborhood, in the border city of Reyhanlı.

Five people were slightly injured in the nearby area.
