Cabinet Discusses Public Services in Light of Heat Wave

The Cabinet addressed a number of public service issues during its weekly session on Tuesday, including proposed solutions for dealing with the current heat wave and improving the electricity, petroleum, and drinking water sectors.

Chairing the session, Prime Minister Wael al-Halki called on the Petroleum Ministry to monitor the performance of gas stations and address unjustified shortages of fuel.

The prime minister said the government is committed to partnership with all elements of Syrian society in planning for the country’s future, stressing the government is working to rationalize subsidies towards reducing deficits in the state’s general budget.
