‘Made in Syria’ Shopping Festival Kicks off in Tartous

The monthly “Made in Syria” shopping festival kicked off Wednesday evening at the Tartous sports hall, with the participation of 110 major national and industrial companies.

The festival, organized by the Chamber of Industry in Damascus and its countryside, aims at providing a wide range of food, clothes, plastic products, detergents, stationery and cosmetics for residents.

Tartous Governor Safwan Abu Saada underlined the importance of the event in alleviating the burdens of Syrian citizens through supplying high quality products at reasonable prices.

In turn, the secretary general of the Syrian Baath Party in Tartous, Muhanna Muhanna, called upon citizens to visit the festival, saying the event is a challenge to terrorism which targets the life of Syrian people.

For his part, Chamber of Industry member Talal Qalaji said that the festival provides evidence of the steadfastness of Syrian industry and the determination of industrialists to continue production despite all circumstances.
