Astana Talks on Syria Postponed Until June 20: Bogdanov

Russian deputy FM confirms meeting will take place in the Kazakh capital a week later than planned, according to government media

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said that the initial date of the upcoming round of Astana talks on Syria has been set for June 20, a week later than had been initially scheduled.

Bogdanov told reporters on Thursday that the date for the Astana meeting was pushed back following contacts with the other guarantor states of the de-escalation agreement, Turkey, Iran, and host Kazakhstan.
