Syrian Foreign Ministry Welcomes Reconstruction Help From Friendly Nations

States which have adopted a clear stance toward fighting terrorism will have preference in upcoming stage, ministry source tells official media

A Foreign Ministry source said Saturday that Damascus will welcome reconstruction assistance from foreign states which have not been involved in aggression against Syria.

The source told SANA that the Syrian people, who have faced terrorism for defending Syria and the whole of humanity, will engage in the battle of reconstructing what has been destroyed by terrorism with the same determination and resilience.

It said that the illegal U.S. and EU sanctions imposed on Syria have reflected negatively on the life of citizens and their livelihood, adding that their removal will be key in launching a comprehensive reconstruction process.

Syria, the source explained, has always been keen on establishing warm relations with foreign states and welcomes reconstruction initiatives from countries which adopt a clear stance toward terrorism, and have not been involved in the aggression against Syria.

The source concluded by saying that Syria reiterates its readiness to continue cooperation with different international bodies and organizations involved in the humanitarian file to provide assistance for Syrians who have been victims of terror groups.
