Statements circulated made by U.S. officials regarding Washington's decision to arm the rebels groups in Syria reveals the U.S. role in inflaming the crisis, a foreign ministry source said Thursday.
In a statement to SANA, the source said the U.S. statements and decisions "shows the U.S. administration's dishonesty in efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria through convening the international conference in Geneva.”
"The reality about U.S. intentions has been exposed to everybody. They aim to continue violence and terrorism in Syria, and disrupt security and stability in the region in the service of Israel's aggressive goals," the source said.
The source pointed out that since the outbreak of the crisis in Syria, the U.S. has continued to arm terrorists and supply them with all forms of support to carry out criminal acts targeting Syria's people and infrastructure.
"However, our people's resolve and the prowess of our armed forces can guarantee that the U.S.-Israeli plots will be foiled and their criminal tools in Syria eliminated," the source added.
