The Turkish government issued a new decree banning the movement of Syrians between Turkish provinces without "permission" from the Immigration Department, al-Fanar Foundation reported.
The institution, which deals with issues on behalf of Syrians inside Turkey, explained the decision came just weeks after a similar decision to ban Syrians from travelling outside Turkey.
According to the new decree, "Syrians in Turkey should obtain prior permission from the Immigration Department in their provinces of residence to be allowed to travel between Turkish provinces. Without this permission, Turkish authorities will not allow Syrians to travel between provinces."
The decision is temporary and for "security reasons", the foundation said, adding that the ruling is expected to be enforced by October 5.
