A Syrian refugee has been 'slashed' in mass knife brawl in the Turkish province of Şanlıurfa, relatives told Zaman al-Wasl Sunday.

The relatives have claimed that 10 Syrian refugees from the northern province Hassakeh were involved in the mass brawl in the border town of Ceylanpınar.

Turkish police have arrested two knifeman who tried to flee as witnesses were shocked to see a 26-old man lashed with a knife.

Relatives say a cousin of the victim was also injured during the brawl.

Turkey is the largest host country of registered refugees with over 3.5 million Syrian refugees.
