Syrian and Omani technicians will establish a joint company to provide services to firms operating in Syria’s oil and gas fields, as well as support the rehabilitation and reconstruction of damaged oil facilities.
The agreement came during a meeting between Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Ali Ghanem and Omani Oil and Gas Minister Mohamad bin Hamad al-Rumhy.
In a press conference following the meeting, Ghanem said that the joint company will be the nucleus of further work toward establishing other investment projects.
In turn, Rumhy said his country is ready to contribute to oil investment activity in Syria and provide all forms of support in the field of exploration and refining.
