On the 11th anniversary of the outbreak of the Syrian war, the President of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Ilham Ahmed called on, Tuesday, the national opposition to unify for the transition of Syria to a better future.

“11 years of Syrian popular movement that began in March 2011 against tyranny & centralization,” Ilham Ahmed tweeted.

The  “intransigence & the dominance of Islamism” aborted chances of a political solution, according to Ilham Ahmed.

The SDC leader stressed the importance to unite the democratic national opposition to lead the country to a better future.
