The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russian-British talks on the situation in the Middle East were held in Moscow with a focus on Syria and the issue of combating terrorism.
The Russian President’s Special Envoy for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergey Vershinin and the British Prime Minister’s International Affairs Adviser and Deputy National Security Adviser Christian Turner CMG participated in the talks, which were held on Wednesday, the Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
