Regime Forces Advance in Northern Hama Countryside

On Wednesday morning, the regime’s forces and militias and Russian forces took control of the village of al-Arbain in the northern Hama countryside, after a heavy preparatory bombardment by land and air that lasted more than 15 hours.

According to Baladi News’ correspondent in the Hama countryside, on Tuesday evening regime militias and Russia began their military assault of the village, using most types of artillery and rockets as well as helicopters, warplanes, and Russian warplanes, and after that they managed to take control of al-Arbain.

According to our correspondent, regime militias continued their military assault on the village of al-Zakah, with clashes between opposition groups and regime militias and Russia continuing, with regime forces eager to advance on al-Zakah.

He said that the clashes were accompanied by artillery and rocket bombardments and air raids on the towns of Kafr Zeita and al-Ltamaneh and the villages and farms around them, as well as villages and towns in the southern Idleb countryside.

Regime forces and Russia are trying to establish control over the villages of al-Arbain and al-Zakah to enhance the regime’s control over Tel Malah and al-Jabin and to secure the international route between Hama and Lattakia, which passes through Tel Malah, with the villages of Zakah and Arbain located on a strategic high point that overlooks these villages to the west, and the towns of Ltamaneh and Kafr Zeita to the east.
