Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has claimed that last Wednesday’s attack on French magazine, Charlie Hebdo, was committed by terrorists trained by Western-backed militant organizations inside Syria.
The attacks killed 17 people in Paris last Wednesday and Thursday; among them were 12 people from the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine. Armed gunman, Amedi Coulibaly, was also killed after taking hostages in a supermarket.
Russian TASS news agency quoted Lavrov as saying Cherif and Said Kouachi, the two brothers responsible for attacking the Charlie Hebdo attack, “had mastered the art of terror in Syria”.
