A high level meeting will be held in Jordan, attended by the Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey and military Chiefs of Staff from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, the U.K., France, Germany, Italy and Canada, the Jordanian government news agency, Petra reported.
Petra quoted a source from the General Command saying that the meeting will be held in the next few days.
According to Petra, the meeting will be an opportunity for “brotherly and friendly participating countries to discuss matters relating to the security of the region and the implications of current events, especially the Syrian crisis and its effects.”
It said it will also discuss aspects of military cooperation between these countries and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in order to address and preserve Jordan's security and the safety of its citizens.
