The head of the Syrian National Coalition, Ahmad Jarba, said that the "war of Assad's regime against the people does not distinguish between the Syrian or the Palestinian people, especially the policy of starvation pursued in the besieged Yarmouk refugee camp."
Jarba was speaking during a meeting with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the Arab summit in Kuwait. Jarba reviewed during his meeting with Abbas the course of diplomatic meetings that took place after the failure of Geneva conference and the latest developments on the international scene regarding the Syrian Revolution and the Palestinian issue.
In turn, the Palestinian President expressed the deep sympathy of the Palestinian government with the Syrian people in their terrible tragedy, stressing that "throughout their history, the Syrians have shared their homes and their livelihoods with the Palestinians, and these days they are sharing their suffering, too".
Abbas denounced the crimes committed by Assad regime against civilians, using explosive barrels that do not distinguish between civilian and military targets, which he said, sets a dangerous precedent in modern wars.
