Sources have revealed that secret excavation operations are currently underway in the historic city of Palmyra with the aim of reclaiming ancient Hebrew antiquities.

The sources claim a number of Israeli archeologists are conducting excavations and searching for Hebrew inscriptions and antiquities, adding that the delegation is protected by Russian soldiers and only communicate through interpreters.

According to the sources, the archeologists are working at four sites within the city but are focusing on excavations at al-Naser Arch for stone tombs that might carry Hebrew engravings.
