Iranian imperial designs may be justified after its domination over the Abbasid and Umayyad capitals, in addition to the shores of Lebanon and Bab al-Mandeb, but this non-Arab action in the face of this trend is unjustifiable.
Is this American-Israeli resounding silence towards the arrival of Iran and its Lebanese agents to Quneitra and Daraa – and its attempt to dominate the region – the silence of an ally or the concealment of an enemy?
Israel’s attempts to implicate Iran – whose economy is suffering from a decline in oil prices – in the region’s wars are aimed at draining its military and economic resources, with hopes of an eventual fragmentation of the Iranian state. The Israelis are trying to plunge Iran into a Syrian and Iraqi sea of blood, to overwhelm it as Afghanistan did to the former Soviet Union – without costing Israel a single dollar or soldier. Israel’s goal is to weaken Iran at the expense of the destruction of Syria, Iraq and Lebanon; the three potential forces that can face up to Israeli ambitions.
The autocratic Iranian regime – based on extremist religious and sectarian ideas – exhibits none of the pragmatic thinking that takes into account the interests and welfare of its citizens, and thus, was easy to drag into this sea of Arab blood.
Israel is in no hurry to end the destruction of Syria, as long as it drains Iran and its militias in their war against ISIS, which consistently threatens the US and the West. This could explain Western and US silence towards the Iranian incursion of Syria. ISIS possesses the same medieval ideology of Iran's mullahs, which facilitates the continuity of this war to weaken both parties and destroy the wealth of the Arab and Islamic peoples, scattering them around the globe for decades to come.
Israel has nothing to lose in this war, and will only remove any Arab or Western pressure to enter a serious peace process with the Palestinians to return their rights along with the West Bank and Jerusalem.
The question now: is this what is really happening? This is what I, and a lot of Syrians and Arabs think, so why is there not a serious Arab movement to face this plan? Things will not end within the borders of these countries, as terrorism targets Egypt, Libya faces a disastrous civil war, and Iran flaunts its ambitions in the Arabian Gulf.
The wheel of history does not wait for the sleepers, so it is necessary to raise the alarm and call upon all Arabs to forget their differences and start developing a strategy to save the Arab peoples, as a first step to prevent the targeting of those whose countries have not yet been destoryed.
