Unidentified gunmen have assassinated a Free Syrian Army commander in the northern countryside of Aleppo, activists told Zaman al-Wasl.
Lieutenant Hussein Qentar, a former Syrian army officer who defected during the Syrian revolution, was found dead on Sunday near Anadan town.
Qentar, who is a member of Fatah Aleppo Command Room, was returning to Anadan before being shot dead by gunmen, leaving his body on the roadside.
Separately, Alaa Jolo was killed on Saturday by Turkish border guards near the village of Kilis. Jolo was trying to cross the border illegally with his wife and daughter, activists said.
