Geneva Talks to Resume on May 10: Bogdanov

Syrian peace talks in Geneva will resume on May 10, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

Speaking in an interview with Russian Sputnik news agency on Wednesday, Bogdanov stressed Moscow’s support for continuing the intra-Syrian dialogue without interruptions.

“We are for uninterrupted talks, maybe, of course, the sides need to take a rest, reconsider certain results,” Bogdanov said. “The sooner they resume, the better. The negotiations will resume tentatively on May 10.”

The diplomat added that Russia hopes the next round of talks will be more dynamic and involve all sides in order for the participants to reach a solution as soon as possible.
