France Rejects Entry Visas to Syrian Choir

French authorities prevented members of a Syrian choir from participating in a religious music festival in the French city of Strasbourg on Monday, refusing to issue the group entry visas.

The organizer of the festival denounced the policies practiced by the French government, saying that Paris promotes its double standard rhetoric about receiving refugees while at the same time rejects granting entry visas to people for chanting in France’s churches.

Chairman of the festival, former priest Jean Louis Hoff, stated that the Syrian musicians were supposed to hold three concerts in Strasbourg at the beginning of November for the “Holy Days” religious music festival.
