Russia, Iran and Turkey, the three guarantor states of the cessation of hostilities plan in Syria, have commended the “positive” results of the de-escalation zones agreements in different areas of the country.
The Russian Interfax agency on Monday cited a source close to the ongoing Astana 7 conference who said the de-escalation zones had shown noticeable effectiveness, adding that the areas are enjoying peace and everything is going well.
The three guarantor states signed the Russian memorandum on de-escalation zones during the Astana 4 meetings held in Kazakh’s capital in May.
