The General Secretary of the Arab League, Nabil ElArabi, has approved the holding the meetings of the Syrian National Coalition in the seat of the League in Cairo.
The chairman of Coalition's Legal Committee, Haitham al-Maleh, told Kuwaiti ar-Rai newspaper that al-Arabi notified him of the League's approval to hold the meetings of the Coalition on in the seat of the League in Cairo, for the first time since the outbreak of Syrian revolution.
Maleh said that there is a conflict in the schedule of the League and that of the Coalition, as the seat will be occupied during Friday and Saturday with the meetings of Arab foreign ministers, so ElArabi suggested delaying the meeting to the 12-13 of March.
"The leaders of the Coalition will meet in Istanbul to discuss the new date, if they refused to delay the meeting, then it will be held in Turkey at its scheduled time," Maleh said.
Maleh added that "the meeting will discuss the rejoining of the Syrian National Council and the organization of Coalition's and opposition's situation. The meeting will also choose the political commission and will discuss the results of Geneva II negotiations"
Italian AKI news agency reported that the Coalition will hold the meetings of the General Secretary in March in Cairo, before the Coalition attends the Arab Summit in Kuwait at the end of next month.
