Antakya residents have taken to the streets daily to express their rage and condemnation at Ankara's support for the Syrian opposition fighters following the bloody double bombing which struck Reyhanli in southern Turkey Saturday.

Protesters shouted:"We don’t want Jihadist killers in our city."

"All what we want now from the Turkish government is to abandon its support to the gunmen," AFP quoted a spokesman for the group, Center for Hatay, Maher Mansouroglu, as saying.

"People here simply say they don’t want to see jihadists [with] long beards walking in our streets," he said.

"Mass demonstrations are a natural result of the government's policy," an official from the opposition Popular People's Party in Turkey said.

"Each time a real opportunity for dialogue comes up, this kind of event takes place."
