Another Massacre: Two Infants, Three Women Killed in Russian Raids in Idleb Camp

A correspondent from Syria TV reported that Russian warplanes conducted multiple missile raids near the village of al-Hamama in the western countryside of Idleb.

Five civilians were tragically killed and several others, including children and women, were wounded on Tuesday during Russian airstrikes that targeted a camp for displaced people in the Jisr al-Shughour area, located in the western region of Idleb.

A correspondent from Syria TV reported that Russian warplanes conducted multiple missile raids, specifically targeting the Ahl Saraqeb camp situated on the outskirts of the village of al-Hamama in the western countryside of Idleb.

Suweida Continues to Protest, While Russia’s Aggression in Idleb Persists

According to the White Helmets, also known as the White Helmets, the devastating outcome of this Russian attack resulted in the loss of five innocent lives, including two infants and three women, one of whom was pregnant. Additionally, five civilians were injured, including an infant and two children, with the majority of them belonging to the same family.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the White Helmets expressed their distress over the fact that regime forces and Russia had committed two horrific massacres in northwestern Syria in less than 72 hours, claiming the lives of 10 civilians, the majority of whom were children.

Furthermore, the statement noted that a child sustained injuries in the form of bruises and abrasions, and a fire broke out in the hay material due to Russian airstrikes targeting the Ain Sheeb water station, which is currently out of service and inhabited by families of displaced people, many of whom are engaged in herding and livestock farming. This attack marked the second time the station had been targeted in recent times, as similar Russian airstrikes struck it on August 22, resulting in the death of two civilians and injuries to five others, including two children and a woman.

Throughout this month, there has been a distressing increase in attacks and raids conducted by regime forces and Russia. Up to October 22, the White Helmets teams have responded to 238 attacks on 68 cities and towns in northwestern Syria, leading to the loss of 65 civilian lives, including 20 children and 10 women, as well as the injury of 251 civilians, including 73 children and 43 women. This ongoing violence has inflicted immense suffering on innocent civilians in the region.

Shelling of residential neighbourhoods in rural Idleb and Aleppo

On Monday, Syrian government forces once again initiated a barrage of rocket and artillery fire on residential areas in the outskirts of Idleb and Aleppo, resulting in civilian casualties and forced displacement.

The government forces launched heavy artillery shells at residential districts in Jisr al-Shughour and the surrounding areas of Mahmbel in the western countryside of Idleb. Similarly, the vicinity of the town of Ehsim in the southern countryside experienced a similar shelling, with damage mostly confined to property and material possessions.

Civilians wounded and displaced by regime shelling on Aleppo and Idleb countryside

The White Helmets reported that numerous families from the city of Jisr al-Shughur have been forced to flee due to recurrent attacks on the city. This tragic scenario is a distressing repetition of civilians being targeted, as they are compelled to seek safety that has eluded them for over 12 years.

Notably, the Syrian government forces were responsible for a heartbreaking incident last Sunday, wherein they carried out an artillery shelling on the village of al-Qarqour in the western countryside of Hama, resulting in the tragic loss of five children’s lives.
