Aleppo Red Cross Hospital Hit by Barrel Bombs

Barrel bombs hit a Red Cross hospital in the Aleppo neighborhood of al-Sakhour on Tuesday, leaving four wounded, activists said.

The barrel bomb attack on the only active hospital in the eastern district of Aleppo left major damage as big sections of the building turned into rubble, a Zaman al-Wasl reporter said.

Regime air forces also targeted the neighborhood of Bustan al-Qasr and Tal Refaat in the northern countryside, killing one, activists said.

In a related development, Islamist rebels in Aleppo have formed the 'Fatah Aleppo' command room in step to imitate rebels in neighboring Idleb province, who recently made remarkable gains in Idleb city and most of its countryside.

The new command room, according to a source from Fastaqem Kma Amrt, aims to take advantage of the regime’s humiliating defeats in Idleb inflicted by the Army of Fatah – an alliance of Islamist rebels including the Nusra Front, the Ahrar al-Sham movement and Jund al-Aqsa.

Syria's four-year war has killed over 220,000 people and forced millions to flee their homes.
