Social Affairs and Labor Minister, Dr. Jassem Mohammad Zakaraya, said that SYP 120 million were transferred on Monday to 105 civil society organizations working in relief to help them provide services to families affected by terrorism.
In a statement to SANA on Tuesday, Zakaraya said that these societies help provide the needs of families in temporary housing center including fuel, heaters, winter clothes.
He pointed out that the national relief program of the Higher Committee for Relief currently covers around 400,000 affected families in housing centers and elsewhere, and that the Committee is monitoring the map for distributing aid and is overcoming difficulties hindering the distribution of aid to affected citizens across Syria in cooperation with relevant authorities, civil societies, and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
The monetary aid is provided to civil societies that proved their competence and performed remarkable work in the field of relief.
